  1. What did you do this past week?

This past week, I completed the Collatz assignment and passed all the test cases on Hackerrank. I also completed some assignments for my other classes. Even though the Collatz assignment took a long time and I could not figure out why I was timing out on the third test case as soon as I would have liked, I was able to figure out my issue and I was able to pass that test case.

2. What’s in your way?

I have some assignments for other classes that I need to complete as soon as possible. I have heard today that classes have been delayed till Wednesday, but I’m not entirely sure how that will affect the due date of these assignments. If I can, I would like to complete them as soon as possible so that I can have extra time on my hands.

3. What will you do next week?

Next week, I will complete my assignments as soon as possible so that I can have some time to do something extra. I might learn/review some python, SQL, and Javascript and I might do some extra coding practice.

4. If you read it, what did you think of the Pair Programming?

I thought it was an interesting read, and I noticed that some people like to work on projects on their own while others like to work with pairs. My Artificial Intelligence class has the option of working alone or working with someone on assigned projects. One thing I wonder about Pair Programming is how people would do it effectively during the pandemic since it is harder to focus on the project compared to meeting up in person and working on the project.

5. What was your experience of types?

I enjoyed what Professor Downing went over in class regarding types, and I went back and tested some of his notes on types. I’ve used all the types he went over besides frozenset. I’ve learned these types through previous Computer Science classes and coding practice I did on my own.

6. What made you happy this week?

Yesterday was my mom’s birthday, so I was extremely happy to celebrate that. I was glad that I was able to watch one of her favorite TV series, West Wing, with her. Another thing that made me happy this week was that I got an internship return offer from IBM. I loved working there before and I can’t wait to do it again.

7. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I would like to find extra time to work on SQL and some front-end applications. If you have any spare time, find something useful or fun to do during that time that you enjoy or that puts your mind at ease.
