  1. What did you do this past week?

This past week I worked on Phase 3 of the IDB project. I also worked on another project for Artificial Intelligence. Our team was able to catch up on some of the features we failed to implement before the Phase 2 deadline and we successfully implemented the required features for Phase 3.

2. What’s in your way?

Quite a bit of stuff is in my way. Besides Phase 4, I have another project for Artificial Intelligence and a take home exam for Natural Language Processing. Eventually I will have more work to do, and I wish I could get more of a breather to do the things I enjoy.

3. What will you do next week?

Next week I will finish as much as I can regarding Phase 4, and I will be working on anything that must be completed within the next few days. I understand you should take things one day at a time, but it is pretty hard considering all the work you have to do and how everything just piles up on top of each other.

4. If you read it, what did you think of the More getters and setters?

It was a good read. I learned from the reading that you want to make sure that the objects create their own UI designs and are not changed by the main code and implementation.

5. What was your experience of SQL?

I have some experience with SQL. I practiced it before because I was told that I would use it for my Summer Internship last year. I think it’s a great language for managing databases and I enjoyed working with it.

6. What made you happy this week?

It’s kind of a hard question to answer considering the amount of work that I have to keep up with during online school, but some of my family members visited us last week and the week before, and I was happy to see them. I also got vaccinated a little less than 2 weeks ago, and I will be able to go outside more often.

7. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

No matter how stressful things may be, find some time to listen to some music. I’ve been doing it more often and it has been helping me get through the pandemic and online school. Sometimes music helps me take my mind off of stressful activities and it helps me focus on things I like doing.
